Supporting students
The Office of Collegiate Ministries had the privilege of supporting the Presbyterian/Reformed global leaders who attended the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) gathering, August 1–9, 2008.

Janet Anderson is pursuing a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Southern California where she focuses on comparing aspects of the grammar of English and Mandarin Chinese. She is an active member of United University Church, a Presbyterian/Methodist congregation the USC campus, as well as United Ministries at USC. Janet enjoys contra dancing, which she learned in her native Vermont.

Ruth-Aimee Chanceline Ngotty Bessebe is General Secretary of the Movement of Protestant Students in Cameroon and an active member of Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC). Ruth-Aimee participates in the Protestant University Chaplaincy, the Movement of the Protestant Student in Cameroon (MPSC), the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the WSCF. Her ecumenical involvement includes participation in educational events pertaining to the global HIV/AIDS crisis.

Francisco Soares is a member of Igreja Protestante Iha Timor Leste. He is also Secretary of the Student Christian Movement of East Timor and a Senior Programme Assistant with the United Nations World Food Programme where he assists with program monitoring and evaluation. Francisco represented the associated student movement during the WSCF General Assembly and facilitated the Student Christian Movement (SCM) of Timor Leste Bible Study. He is also been involved with Student Empowerment for Transformation (SET) programs in Indonesia and Thailand. |
