Mark Hinds, Ed.D., serves Congregational Ministries Publishing as general editor. Educated at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education, Mark has served churches in Texas and Virginia. He has a passion for Christ and his church, for educational ministry and for the English language. He edits The Present Word adult Bible study, is developing our new adult study guides — I Believe: 40 Daily Readings for the Purposeful Presbyterian — and is managing editor for Witherspoon Press. His greatest joy comes from spending time with his son and daughter.

Elder Betsy Ensign-George, M.Div., is an associate for curriculum development for children. After graduation from Princeton Seminary with a concentration in Christian education, she served small, midsized and large congregations in New Jersey, Minnesota, Texas, and Iowa. Her work in curriculum development and editing combines two great passions: Christian educational ministry/faith formation, and writing and working with the English language. Betsy edits We Believe preschool and Workshop. She also serves as our vacation Bible school specialist. She and her husband, Barry, have three children.

Michael Harper, M.A., a soon-to-be certified Christian educator, is an associate for curriculum development for youth and young adults. After graduation from Austin College, Michael served churches in Arkansas and Kentucky as director of youth ministries. He has also been involved with Montreat Youth Conferences, the Presbyterian Youth Triennium, and numerous leadership responsibilities in the presbyteries in which he has served.  Michael has written for We Believe, Akaloo, and other denominational publications. Michael edits We Believe All-Church summer and, with Beth Herrinton-Hodge, is developing our new curriculum for younger youth (In Search Of ...) and older youth (Faithfully Asking Questions). Michael and his wife, Cheri, have one daughter.

Grace Choon Kim
Associate for Curriculum Development — Korean Adult

The Rev. Grace Kim, M.Div., has served as associate for Korean adult curriculum and resource development since 1988. Educated at Columbia Theological Seminary and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Grace edits the Korean-language version of The Present Word and the Kuyuk curriculum for small-group Bible study, prayer and fellowship.  Her office has produced over 20 resources for church officers training, teacher training stewardship, worship and theology.  Grace and her husband have two children and two grandchildren.

Associate for Resources and Relationships/Hispanic/Latino Constituencies

The Rev. Marissa I. Galván-Valle, M.Div., is the associate for resources and relationships with Hispanic/Latino constituencies of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Before coming to Louisville, she attended the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico and coordinated youth ministry for the Synod of Boriquén, Puerto Rico. She was also chaplain and director of the Good Samaritan Program, a nonprofit organization that serves the elderly in the Old San Juan area. In addition to her advocacy responsibilities for Hispanic ministry, Marissa edits Así Creemos, our Spanish language version of We Believe.

The Rev. Beth Herrinton-Hodge, M.Div., a certified Christian educator, serves as an associate for curriculum development for children and youth. After graduating from San Francisco Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education, she served congregations in North Carolina, Ohio and rural Maine. She has written for We Believe and Celebrate curricula and is a past director and planning team member for the Montreat Youth Conferences.  Beth edits We Believe for multi-age, younger elementary and older youth and, with Michael, is developing our new curriculum for younger youth (In Search Of ...) and older youth (Faithfully Asking Questions). She is also developing a version of The Present Word for youth. Beth and her husband, Jay Hodge, have two daughters.

 
             
   
 

Meg Rift
Editor for Children's Curriculum

The Rev. Meg Elliott Rift, M.Div., serves as editor for children’s curriculum. She edits We Believe older elementary and Workshop and is developing our new Wee Believe curriculum for toddlers (18–36 months). Meg is also the co-author of Professing Our Faith: A Confirmation Curriculum. Meg lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband, Dan, and their three daughters.
