National Presbyterian College Scholarship

In this program, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) partners with related colleges & universities to provide scholarships of $1400 to Presbyterian students selected by a reading committee. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)’s gift of $700 is matched by the school.

Children of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ministers continue to receive the National Presbyterian College Scholarship in significant numbers. Pastors express their desire for their children to acquire a quality education and feel this can be accomplished by attending a Presbyterian related college/university. The cost of this education may be more but the gains exceed the financial burden.

Native American Education Grant

The number of Native Americans attending college is increasing each year. In order to help sustain the Native American Education Grant Program contributions may be made to assist members of any tribe with their education. Students receive funding beginning with their post-secondary education and grants are awarded through a doctoral degree. Gifts for books ($500), tuition ($10,000), or room and board ($10,000) will help students from Alaska to the northeast. Presbyterian Study Grant

The Presbyterian Study Grant provides direct aid to Masters of Divinity students who are in the process of becoming ordained ministers in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Applicants are eligible for up to $4,000 a year in grant assistance.

This aid can be used for tuition and fees, books, and living expenses. The Presbyterian Study Grant is entirely supported by endowment income and ECO contributions. The endowments and ECO contributions have not provided enough funding to guarantee a $4,000 award to all students with need. Contribute now to help the number of awards grow.

Racial Ethnic Supplemental Grant

Q: How does the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) strive to bring diversity into the pulpit?
A: By making seminary education more affordable for racial ethnic students.

The Racial Ethnic Supplemental Grant is awarded to Presbyterian Study Grant students who are racial ethnic minorities. The Racial Ethnic Supplemental Grant is entirely supported by endowment income and ECO contributions. Gifts to this program will be awarded to racial ethnic seminary students with financial need.

Student Opportunity Scholarship

Since 1964, through designated endowments and Extra Commitment Opportunity funds, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has been able to provided scholarships to students through the Student Opportunity Scholarship Program. This scholarship provides assistance to students for tuition, books and fees for their undergraduate education. Preference is given to racial ethnic students.

• $2,000 gift would provide tuition assistance for a student for one semester
