National Presbyterian College Scholarship

For young students preparing to enter as full-time incoming freshmen in one of the participating colleges related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Criteria

Students must:

  • maintain 3.0 grade point average;
  • be members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.);
  • be entering college in Fall of 2009;
  • take the SAT/ACT exam no later than December 15 of their senior year in high school;
  • demonstrate financial need. To learn more about "need" and use a calculator to estimate Expected Family Contribution and Need, visit FinAid's EFC Calculator.

Complete applications will include:

  • biographical questionnaire;
  • 500-1000 word essay on assigned topic;
  • resume/curriculum vitae;
  • church membership/endorsement by pastor/clerk of session;
  • recommendation from high school guidance counselor;
  • high school transcript.

Application

This program is closed for application. The National Presbyterian College Scholarship Reading Committee will meet March 5-6 and selections will be announced by letter to the student by April 1.
