Grants

  • United States and International Hunger Ministry proposals will be considered annually at the October Advisory Committee Meeting. The cutoff date for acceptance of proposals for that meeting is June 30, 2009. Please send your applications well in advance of the cutoff date to facilitate a smooth process.
  • U.S. applications must be submitted via email. The cover page may be submitted with an electronic signature or faxed to (502) 569-8963.
  • International grant applications must be emailed or postmarked by June 30 to be considered at the October meeting. Submissions via email are preferable.

Congregation-Based Community Organizing (CBCO) Grants

The Presbyterian Hunger Program provides grants to programs addressing hunger and its causes in the United States and around the world. The One Great Hour of Sharing offering allows PHP to give grants in our five program areas:

  1. Direct Food Relief
  2. Development Assistance
  3. Influencing Public Policy
  4. Life-style Integrity
  5. Education and Interpretation

General and specific criteria, based on the Common Affirmation on Global Hunger, are used to evaluate grant applications. Please review criteria and revised funding guidelines before applying.

Revised Operating Guidelines were approved by the PHP Advisory Committee in 2003 and can be downloaded for printing with Acrobat Reader in PDF or Word formats.
