is president of the Near East School of Theology in Beirut. She serves on the executive and theological committees of the Fellowship of Middle East Evangelical Churches. She is a recognized authority on the church in the Middle East and a noted writer and lecturer on Christian theology and the position of women in the church. She has organized many Christian-Muslim conversations at the Near East School of Theology.
is a well-known writer and columnist, counselor to the Mufti of Lebanon, and secretary-general of the Christian-Muslim Committee for Dialogue in Lebanon. Dr. Sammak is also counselor to the leader of the Almustaqbal Parliamentary Group. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Arab Christian-Muslim Working Group, on the Board of the Islamic Call organization and as a president of the World Conference of Religions for Peace. His background is in political science and Islamic thought.
