General Assembly Stated Clerk Clifton Kirkpatrick commissioned 48 Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) mission workers who itinerated throughout the church during October 2007 as part of “Mission Challenge ’07.” The commissioning service was part of “World Mission ’07: A Celebration of Grace,” a global mission conference that drew more than 600 mission-minded Presbyterians to Louisville for four days of worship, Bible study, plenary and panel presentations on various aspects of Presbyterian World Mission, and a host of practical workshops for congregations, presbyteries and mission networks.
Encounter God as we:
- Connect with others through worship as we sing and pray with the global church
- Get inspired by powerful preaching informed by our commitment to mission in partnership
- Are sent forth from closing worship where all participants are commissioned for our common call to live and share the Gospel near and far
Let’s celebrate. Let’s worship together. Let’s be empowered. Let’s go out to live our call. |
