Bridges Vol. 2, No. 2
Dear Friends,
I could offer a variety of explanations and excuses regarding
the late arrival of these Bridges. However, rather than bothering
you with unnecessary details, I will simply invite you to enjoy
returning to Christmas and New Year’s themes as you read
these updates.
You may want to note that although I am committed to preparing
twelve Bridges during 2005, I will no longer be dating
these updates according to the months of the year. You see, in
2004, I discovered that some months have more news, and others
have less. Furthermore, some months are filled with deadlines,
and others are more relaxed. Thus, I have decided to stop attempting
to prepare these updates according to the strictures of the calendar.
Thank you for understanding this decision.
Please remember that I am eager to devote some portion of each
Bridges to news that you have to share about Czech connections
that your congregation cherishes and/or to respond to questions
that you have about this part of the world. I can imagine that,
with your help, Bridges may become an avenue of two-way
communication. If you would like to make a contribution to a future
edition, please contact me at Joyce
Mauler. If you know of other persons who would like to receive
these updates, please send their email addresses to me.
This note has been “all business” (as emails tend
to be), but characteristically, I want to conclude with a personal
greeting: May each of you be blessed with wonderful assurances
of the glory of love as Valentine’s Day and Lent’s
beginning almost converge.
With warm regards,
Joyce
