The Presbytery of Shenango
Pennsylvania

Members of STATION volunteer at the presbytery-wide youth event.
Young adults are a vital part of all congregations, and the Presbytery of Shenango has been blessed by the creation of a ministry focused on this age group. In 2006, a small group of young adults recognized the need and started STATION, a young adult Bible study and fellowship group that meets twice a month and invites all members of the presbytery between the ages of 18 and 35 to join them.
Each of the churches has a small number of young adults that contribute to the life of the church through holding offices, assisting with worship, teaching, and performing other duties. Few of the churches have enough young adults to create a relevant group study, but in joining together the young adults from across this presbytery have formed a group that is energized and excited about ministry and mission in today’s church.
STATION is a place where young adults who serve their churches can refuel their passion for the church and delve deeper into the Bible, and it is also a place where newcomers to the faith can feel comfortable exploring Christianity. Together the members of STATION are developing relationships with God and are stepping out in faith to participate in their congregations and communities with a renewed sense of purpose and calling.
The Presbytery of Shenango is composed of 14,205 members in 69 churches in Lawrence and Mercer counties in western Pennsylvania. Grove City and Westminster colleges lie within its bounds, as does the New Wilmington Mission Conference, with which Shenango has a covenant relationship.

Lord God, we lift up to you the young adults of this world. We ask for your blessing upon them and upon the work that they are doing in your name. May you grant them encouragement as they seek your will, and may you help us all to focus our lives on the path you have set before us. Amen.
