2008 marks the sixth edition of the Children’s
Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study, which is adapted from the 116th
edition of the Mission
Yearbook for Prayer & Study. This resource is designed as a personal
devotional guide for third through sixth graders and will help children learn
more about:
- being followers of Jesus Christ
- the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and its mission
- children around the world
The 2008 Children’s Mission Yearbook includes
Scripture and prayers, games and puzzles, recipes, a “word of the week” as
well as many new activity ideas. It is divided into 53 two-page weekly spreads
and will contain new mission stories and photographs about one domestic presbytery
and one overseas mission locale. Like the 2008 Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study with
the theme “Where two or more are gathered” this resource invites
young readers to explore how we as Christ’s disciples are enveloped in
God’s unfolding narrative. The Children’s Mission
Yearbook can be used as a handy reference for church school, children’s
worship, and midweek gatherings. The 2008 edition is available as the take-home
piece for the All Church Summer We Believe materials.
