The DVD "Three Years of Responding to Gulf Coast Hurricanes: Presbyterians' Faithful Witness and Relationships Continue” lifts up three years of hurricane response by examining the impact of Presbyterian work on the U.S. gulf coast; it also includes segments from previous gulf coast DVDs, including a Project Homecoming video (featured on this page), A Day in the Life of a Presbyterian Work Team, promotional music videos — including one from youth weeks 2008, and Voices from the Gulf —interviews with homeowners, volunteers, clergy and staff who are all part of a collective effort for long-term recovery along the Gulf Coast.

Project Homecoming, a joint ministry of the Presbytery of South Louisiana and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, has been described as "a PC(USA) focus on helping people return home; not only as assistance in rebuilding houses, but as a witness to the love of Christ, whose healing power brings all who are touched 'home' to a place of joy, love, and peace in life.”

In a little more than its first year of operation (beginning April 2007), Project Homecoming housed more than 1,800 volunteers, logged more than 340,000 volunteer hours, gutted more than 990 homes, and completed more than 90 homes.
