Stories of Hope: little hands — big mission

PDA has received stories of how children have taken the initiative to help survivors of disaster. Their hands may be small, but they are on a great mission. The children in these stories are showing others how to reach beyond themselves to share the hope of Christ. May we learn from their example.

• Toy Sale Sunday at Christ Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Arizona
• Eight year old supports hurricane survivors through her birthday offering
• Four year old collects family offering for hurricane survivors
• Child survivors of the 2004 Asian Tsunami in Indonesia write letters to child survivors of the 2005 Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the United States.
• Ten year old creates newsletter to raise support for hurricane survivors
• Lemonade stand and other efforts by a 5-year old raise money for Hope in a Box kits for hurricane survivor
