AIDS Pandemic

According to the latest UNAIDS report, an estimated 40 million individuals are living with HIV/AIDS. In some countries in Africa, one in every four people are infected with HIV. While mother-to-child transmission has been all but eliminated in the United States and in Europe, this wholly preventable way of spreading this killer is still prevalent in much of the developing world.

On October 24-27, 2002 Presbyterian leaders from around the world and United Nations staff came together at the Presbyterian United Nations Office to strengthen efforts to address the AIDS pandemic. Visit the links below for presentations and material from the seminar. Additional resources are coming soon.
