Travel/study seminar to South Africa and Malawi

The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, working with the International AIDS Ministry and the Presbyterian AIDS Network, facilitated a travel/study seminar in South Africa and Malawi in February and March 2008. The ten participants came from seven presbyteries and ranged in age from young adults to retirees. Group members shared a deep commitment to address HIV and AIDS. They also learned more about the impact of HIV and AIDS and how our partner churches are responding and sought to discern ways to become more involved personally and to engage U.S. Presbyterians in action.
The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program announces the launch

into Plowshares will focus on a range of peace and justice related concerns.
For the next two weeks, entries will come from the travel/study seminar looking
at HIV/AIDS in Africa. Seminar participants will visit South Africa and Malawi.
