The Program
What is the Re-Forming Ministry program? What groups have been started? Who are the current participants? What meetings are taking place? What are the plans for the future?

The Work
Essays, papers, reflections, sermons, homilies and other work created by members of the Re-Forming Ministry program. Who and what is the church? Who are we and what difference does that make? What particular challenges does the church, and particularly our denomination, face at this time? What would a supportive and strong shared life look like? How might we help such a shared life arise?

Re-Forming Ministry

Re-Forming Ministry is an initiative of the Office of Theology and Worship. Re-Forming Ministry seeks to help recover the call of pastors, professors and governing body leaders to help us think and live faith in Jesus Christ. Re-Forming Ministry gathers pastors, governing body leaders and professors in groups to work as equals in a shared theological task, carried out in service to the PC(USA), and thus in service to the church.

All groups in the Re-Forming Ministry work on a common theological focus. At present, Re-Forming Ministry groups are focusing on the church.

Currently, the Re-Forming Ministry program is funded by a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment which has enabled the launch of this initiative in the life of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

On this Web site you can explore both the work being done by participants in the Re-Forming Ministry program, and the structure of the program and its groups. We invite you to learn more about Re-Forming Ministry.
