Join SDOP in making a difference against poverty and oppression in disadvantaged communities around the United States and the world.
- Watch four short videos that showcase the stories of four Self-Development of People “partners” — people from distinct areas of the Western Hemisphere — Alaska, Virginia, Kentucky and Chile.
- Consider being nominated to volunteer as a SDOP National Committee member. The 31 person national committee helps to tell the SDOP “story” regularly. For more information contact Cynthia White.
- If you know of a group in your community you think may be a potential SDOP partner refer the group to us or contact the group and tell them about SDOP.
- Learn more about poverty.
- Attend or volunteer to set up a community workshop in your area. Community workshops explaining the Self-Development of People application process and criteria are held nationwide year round. For more information, email Margaret Mwale.
- Invite someone to share their Self-Development of People experience with your group.
